These terms apply to all Lakeside Tent Co bookings. DRAFT — under review.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm and secure your date. The deposit is non-refundable — it reserves your date and covers our preparation and planning. Reserving your dates places a temporary hold; your date is confirmed only once the deposit is paid. We hold a reserved date for 24 hours pending the deposit; after that the date may be released to other enquiries.
The remaining balance is due two weeks before your event. For bookings made inside two weeks, the balance is due on booking.
All bookings are subject to availability and our confirmation that your date is open and your space is suitable. If we are unable to fulfil your booking (for example, the date is no longer available), your deposit is refunded in full.
If you cancel, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel after the balance is paid, the balance is refundable up to 14 days before your event; inside 14 days, payments are non-refundable as we will have reserved equipment and staff for your date. We're happy to reschedule where possible, subject to availability, with at least 14 days' notice (one reschedule at no charge).
You're responsible for providing a safe, reasonably level, accessible site for delivery and setup, with any underground utilities (irrigation, gas, electrical) clearly marked. On grass or dirt, 18-inch ground-screw anchoring is included; on hard surfaces (concrete, decking) we anchor with weighted wine barrels. We cannot set up where the site is unsafe or inaccessible.
Tents are temporary structures. In severe or unsafe weather (high winds, storms) we may, for everyone's safety, delay, adjust or postpone setup or takedown, and we are not liable for weather conditions. We'll always work with you to find the best solution for your event.
While the equipment is in your care, you're responsible for any damage or loss beyond normal wear. A cleaning fee may apply if items are returned excessively soiled. Please don't attach anything to, or move, the structure yourself.
Once set up, the equipment is used at your own risk and the risk of your guests. Lakeside Tent Co is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from use of the equipment on your property or chosen site. You're responsible for any permits required for your location. For larger events we recommend event insurance.
Deposits and balances can be paid by card (secure checkout via Stripe) or by e-transfer to events@lakesidetentco.com.
Setup and takedown within 30 minutes of Kelowna is included in the setup fee; additional mileage applies beyond that. We serve Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, Summerland, Vernon, Penticton and the wider Okanagan.
