Lakeside Tent Co ("we", "us") is a tent and event rental business based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, event date and any notes or requests you send.

Your design selections. The choices you make in our visualiser (tent layout, linens, lighting, colours and so on) are saved in your own browser so we can build your quote. These selections are not personal information on their own and stay on your device until you submit a quote or clear them.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site — through the analytics tools described below.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare and send your quote.
• To confirm your event date and that your space works.
• To contact you about your booking and event.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To measure the performance of our advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use the following third-party tools, which may set cookies or collect usage data:

• Google Analytics — to understand site traffic and how visitors use the site.
• Microsoft Clarity — to see anonymised, aggregated interaction data (such as which areas of a page draw attention) so we can improve the experience.
• Google Ads — to measure which ads lead to quote requests.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business — for example email, website hosting and analytics providers, and, where you choose to pay online, a secure third-party payment processor. These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to serve you, manage your booking, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. To make a request, email us at Events@LakesideTentCo.com and we'll respond promptly.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed at children.
